I have been a community organizer in Herndon for two years, working to give a voice to our immigrant neighbors. I work to make Herndon a more equitable place for all of our residents, fighting for more affordable housing, better public education, and more economic opportunities. I also support a solidarity network that helps keep our immigrant neighbors safe from ICE kidnappings and other fascist incursions.

As an immigrant kid from Bulgaria raised by a single mom, I know firsthand what it means for families to struggle to get ahead. As such, I have dedicated my life to fighting for justice and equity. I graduated from George Washington University with a Master’s degree in international development, and have spent much of my career supporting community development, democracy, civil rights, and gender equality efforts all over the world.

With the rise of fascism in the U.S., I began to dedicate my efforts domestically. I worked as a journalist at Rantt Media to combat right-wing disinformation, covering a variety of issues, including U.S. politics, foreign affairs, and civil rights, among others. I have also supported Democratic campaigns at the national, state, and local levels.

My family and I are blessed to call Herndon home, and I am running for town council to use my wide breadth of experience to make our town more affordable, accessible, and inclusive for all of us.
